1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using StateDocGen (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not access or use the Service.
2. Description of Service
StateDocGen provides self-help document templates for contractors and tradespeople. The Service allows you to fill in your project details, preview a document with a watermark for free, and download a clean, watermark-free PDF for a flat fee of $9 per document. The Service is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice.
3. No Legal Advice
The documents and templates provided by StateDocGen are for informational and self-help purposes only. They do not constitute legal advice and do not create an attorney-client relationship. StateDocGen is not a law firm. We recommend consulting with a licensed attorney in your state for complex legal matters or unusual project circumstances. Your use of any document generated through the Service is at your own risk.
4. Payment and Pricing
Each document download costs a flat fee of $9, payable through Stripe at checkout. There are no subscriptions, recurring charges, or hidden fees. You can preview any document for free before purchasing. Payment is processed securely through Stripe, and StateDocGen does not store your credit card information.
5. Refund Policy
Because you can preview every document for free before purchasing, all sales are final. Once a clean, watermark-free PDF has been downloaded, a refund cannot be issued. If you experience a technical issue that prevents you from downloading your document after payment, please contact us at support@statedocgen.com and we will resolve the issue or issue a refund.
6. Permitted Use
You may use documents generated through the Service for your own business and client projects. You may print, email, and modify the documents as needed for your projects. You may not resell, redistribute, or sublicense the templates themselves as standalone products. You may not use the Service to generate documents for resale as a document preparation service.
7. No Warranty
StateDocGen provides the Service and all documents "as is" without any warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that any document will be suitable for your specific situation, that it will be enforceable in court, or that it will comply with every applicable law or regulation. The templates are based on our research of state contractor laws, but laws change, and we may not have the most current version of every statute.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, StateDocGen shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service or any document generated through it. Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the document in question ($9).
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after any change constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
